Ohio State Park Lodges

There are nine Ohio state park lodges around the Buckeye State. Plenty of opportunities for family reunions and weddings are possible at these lodges.           Burr Oak

Burr Oak State Park has an elegant conference center within their lodge that fits perfectly in the natural setting. The lodge sets immediately next to Burr Oak Lake, making for a picturesque setting for your party. Like many parks, Burr Oak has hiking trails, boating, and other recreational activities available. An extensive banquet menu makes Burr Oak a great place for a get-together in southeast Ohio.




 

          Deer Creek

Deer Creek State Park has a very modern lodge and conference center that can meet the needs of any wedding party or office group. There are over 100 private rooms, each with its own balcony or patio area. There is a lakeside pavilion for those looking to have their wedding at Deer Creek. There is also a full, 18-hole championship golf course for those looking for a little recreation. Deer Creek Lodge and Conference Center would be a great place for your next outing in central Ohio.

 

          Geneva

Geneva State Park has The Lodge at Geneva-On-The-Lake, featuring wonderful views and amenities immediately along Lake Erie in Ohio’s northeastern section. Meetings at Geneva can be set up with banquet or theater-style seating depending on needs A full catering menu is available for meals. For weddings, the grand ballroom can seat three hundred guests for the special day. If you are planning an event along Lake Erie, Geneva State Park may be the place for you!

 

          Hueston Woods

The conference center at Hueston Woods State Park has many amenities available for use for a variety of reasons. The conference center is made up of six meeting rooms, and can accommodate up to two hundred people. Acton Lake boasts many typical water activities that you and your group can take part in. Hueston Woods also features an 18-hole championship golf course through the woodland countryside can also provide plenty of entertainment at this southwest Ohio gem. My experience at Hueston Woods makes me feel this is one of the best Ohio state park lodges.

 

          Maumee Bay

Maumee Bay State Park is another picturesque park along Lake Erie, this one in northwest Ohio. The lodge at Maumee Bay offers modern amenities in addition to local charm. Many of the rooms available have lakefront views and private balconies. In addition to the lodging availability, there are indoor and outdoor pools, bicycle rentals, tennis courts, basketball courts, and a two-mile boardwalk trail. If you are planning an office outing, Maumee Bay can also provide you with teambuilding activities to meet your needs.




 

          Mohican

Mohican State Park in north-central Ohio boasts a lodge and conference center that can accommodate groups up to 250 people. There are eight function rooms to choose from, Mohican also has lovely lake views and outdoor activities to keep the group you are with entertained. There are also spiritual retreat rates available for people interested in getting away for several days.

 

          Punderson

Punderson State Park in northeast Ohio offers many opportunities for those looking to enjoy the great outdoors. In addition to “typical” activities like hiking, fishing, and boating, Punderson offers other activities. Some of these activities are horseback riding, rock climbing, and cross country skiing when in season. The lodge at Punderson offers plenty of opportunity for family reunions, job outings, and weddings. For family reunions, the lodge offers a “Family Tree” program where a tree will be planted in honor of your family. As you return to Punderson in future years for your reunion, your family will be able to see its growth.           Salt Fork

The lodge at Salt Fork State Park is located in Ohio’s largest state park, and is famous for its pine beams and stone makings. Up to 450 guests can stay at rooms in the lodge, and seven meeting rooms can house up to 300 people for any given reception. The surrounding area around the lodge offers opportunities including hiking, fishing, pontoon boat rental, horseback riding, and geocaching.           Shawnee

Shawnee State Park Lodge is located in the 63,000 acre Shawnee forest and offers fifty guest rooms with breathtaking views of the nearby countryside. Each guest room has its own private balcony, and a community game room, sauna, and pool is available for those staying at this Ohio state park lodge. Dozens of miles of trails nearby make this a wonderful place to stay for avid hikers. For those looking for a site for a wedding reception or office party, Shawnee Lodge has seven conference rooms with several including outdoor views of the surrounding nature. Exercise facilities, in addition to the hiking trails, boating access, and swimming pools, make this an ideal place to stay.
